Ron Combs & Andrew Peters Win Night Two of Rushville Nationals

Ron Combs and Andrew Peters were the big winners on night two of the Rushville Nationals sponsored by Hubler Chevrolet on Saturday night at the Rush County Fairgrounds. The event featured the Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midgets and the 600cc micros sponsored by Culvers of Greenfield.
On Saturday night the micros ran with wings and after having a half-lap lead cut to almost nothing by a mid-race caution flag, Andrew Peters held on to win the 30-lap feature. He was followed to the checkered flag by Ryan Langston, Garrett Abrams, Taylor Courtney, and Anton Julain rounded out the top five. The ten-lap heat races went to Brandon Rose, Tyler Courtney, and Anton Julain.
When the Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midgets hit the track for their 25-lap feature event it was Ron Combs made it a clean sweep of the 2010 Rushville Nationals. Driving the Tony Stewart owned #50, Combs dedicated the entire weekend to Crocky Wright with whom the Rushville Nationals honored the memory of this year. Second went to Terry Goff, third was Robbie Roland, fourth was Zach Cougill, and Scott Petry rounded out the top five. Quick time was Ron Combs at 12.603 seconds. The trophy dash was won by Terry Goff and the ten-lap heats were won by Ron Hamm, Terry Goff, and Bobby Walton. The $50 from the “Tony Stewart Rookie Challenge” went to Jon Steed and the five gallons of fuel for the G&G Oil “Hard Charger of the Race” went to Scot Quintel who came from 21st to 8th in the feature.
The next race for the Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midgets is on Saturday July 3 at the Montpelier Motor Speedway.
